June 05 (WTN) - Today is the 'World Environment Day' and on this occasion many programs are being organized on behalf of the UN and other institutions. On this eve of the Environment Day, the UN has given special emphasis on plastic pollution.

Goodwill ambassador of the United Nations environment and Bollywood actor Dia Mirza said that scenes of the use of plastic materials in films and commercials have made people in the real life unimpressed by their use - understood their use as "normal".

Rajeshwari completed 1100 kilometers of hiking journey from Gujarat to Delhi today in 45 days so that people can be made aware of the environmental damage caused by plastic.
Rajeshwari told reporters that during her visit, she did not use plastic bottles at all to drink water at all.
