The Prestigious TIME's "Person of the Year Award" this year goes to "the Silence Breakers", women and men who took strong step to open up against sexual abuse and harassment - are the Time's "Person of the Year". Shuttering down the single stereotype, the TIME awarded Person of the Year "to abuse 'silence breakers.' "MeToo Hash Tag Movement", which went viral post the allegations emerged against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. The fastest moving social change in the decade witnessed is, "Me too", the programme that kicked off by individual acts of courage by hundreds of women and few men, who came forward to share their stories, says TIME's editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal.
The TIME mag illustrates the universal nature of sexual harassment by showcasing women from markedly different backgrounds on its cover. Apart from two celebrities Taylor Swift and Ashley Judd, the one who speaks against Weinstein for the very first time. On the cover page, the others are the women from vivid backgrounds. Taylor Swift won the civil suit against an EX-Dj who the singer told grabbed her bottom. Alongside Taylor and Ashley are Isabel Pascual, a 42-year-old strawberry picker from Mexico "Name Change", A 40-year-old corporate lobbyist in Sacramento Adama Iwu, and Susan Fowler, 26, a former Uber engineer whose allegation brought down Uber's CEO.
At the lower right-hand corner of the cover, there’s merely an arm, as shown, it belongs to a young hospital worker ( anonymous) from Texas who fears that disclosing her identity would negatively impact her family, a sexual harassment victim. TIME tell's though she is faceless on the cover and remains nameless inside TIME’s red borders, her appearance is an act of solidarity, representing all those who are not yet able to come forward and reveal their identities tells time.
The activist who created the #MeToo hashtag, Tarana Burke, quite more than a decade ago, actor Alyssa Milano who helped it explode on SM. Actor Terry Crews, a group of hotel workers who have filed a lawsuit against their employer and State Senator Sara Gelser.
Hash Tag 'MeToo' is exposing the scale of sexual abuse.
Why women fear a backlash over #MeToo, this "moment", the magazine says, "This movement doesn't have a single, unifying tenet or a leader. The hashtagmetoo "#MeToo" has provided an umbrella of solidarity to millions and millions of people to come up and share their stories, this a is part of the picture, however not all of it."
The year 2017, TIME's Person of the year went into breaking news as the POTUS tweet created the stir. President Trump, cool in all his ways though not so excellent in his tweets, tweeted how he has turned down the offer to be called the "Person of the Year". Mr President later tweeted.
Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

In response to trumps tweet, Time commented: "The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.
