The spark is out. Former number one Serena Williams has withdrawn from the AO, Melbourn.The twenty-three times grand slam winner said, "though I am Supper close but not where I want to be", as she withdraws from the AO.

After the confirmation of pregnancy after winning at the Grand Slam, the world was having hawk eye over the future play performance of the Legendary Player Serena Williams, though to the disappointment the star has reluctantly withdrawn from the Australian Open. “After competing in Abu Dhabi I realised that although I am super close, I’m not where I want to be,” Williams said, in a statement to AO.


“My coach and team always said ‘only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way.  I can compete – but I don’t want just to compete, the tennis player seems, she doesn't want just to compete instead the player has the habit of winning, and she doesn't want to compromise over that. As Serena withdraws from the game, she said, " I will need a little more time. With that being said, and even though I am disappointed about it, I’ve decided not to compete in the Australian Open this year."

Standing strong the player stated the memory of the last year play os one that she will hold, and she and her daughter Olympia will make come back next year. Serena continued by saying," I appreciate the support and understanding of my fans and everyone at the Australian Open.”


 

Unfortunately @serenawilliams has withdrawn from the #AusOpen.
