Now Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) seems in state of dilemma on the release of highly controversial film Padmavati, is now under the shade of historian panel to scrutinised the authenticity of the storyline of this film.
This move of CBFC may be creating plot for controversy-ridden Padmavati. According to the board that this decision was taken after the producer director said that the facts shown in this film is partially based on history.
After Bhansali submitted the prints to CBFC for certification, CBFC sent the film back without certification as makers nothing mentioned in a column for declaring whether the film was a work of fiction or was based on historical facts.
The controversy began when Karni Sena became offensive at the characterisation of Rani Padmavati. The group blamed that Film Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali tempered the historical facts by picturing romance between Alauddin Khilji and Queen Padmavati. Although Bhansali and others actors of this film denied the calim made by karni sena but sena remained their violent protest.
Political parties also got involved in these controversies as many Bhartiya Janta Party leaders also threatened to head off the film's release. BJP media head from Haryana Suraj Pal even decleared a reward for beheading the film's leading lady, Deepika Padukone.
This film was produced by Viacom Motion Pictures, was originally set to release on 1st December. The delay in scheduled release cost a significant amount to makers in what was an expensive film.
In respect of these uncertain incidents, easy release of this film is doubtful as sources told that CBFC and panel have no schedule of viewing the film in December and may be screened in New Year.
