An architectural firm located in the Netherlands which is confronting the challenge of developing a solution to the problem taught due to the urbanisation and climate change is Waterstudio.NL. 

The innovative designers say, ' the building and communities that can float on the water may be the next step in the evolution of cities '. From the days of Indus valley civilisation, the famous cities are settled and developed near the sea or river costs.However, now the change in the global conditions and raised the alarm for the offshore towns across the world. The NASA report tells Australia can witness far worse flash floods in future. The recent images by NASA suggest that global warming has caused the disappearance of Antartica and Greenland at an alarming rate. The Major cities on the Indian sear shores, Mumbai and Kolkata, are also on the alarm list.  In the light of unprecedented population growth, climate change, flooding and rising sea levels, are floating homes the next frontier in urban living?


Floating developments, in particular, can make a positive impact on slum communities that are living in conjunction with water. Rising sea levels threaten many populations all across the world, and Waterstudio, the organization with innovative designers,  seeks to shed light on people that are currently living without the most fundamental of necessities.
