Three-day National workshop on 'Tribal Situation in India'

Bhopal: The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya as a part of its education and outreach activities is organising a three-day National workshop on 'Tribal Situation in India: Contemporary Issues and Concerns' from January 29-31, 2018 at Vivekananda Auditoruim, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkkantak, Madhya Pradesh. The 47th Annual Conference of the Indian Anthropological Society will be organized at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak during January 29-31, 2018 jointly by IGNTU, IGRMS, TATA Steel Ltd., and IAS.

The conference will have three Memorial lectures and a seminar on the proposed theme. Memorial Lectures are organized to pay homage to the three doyens of Indian Anthropology. These are: Nirmal Kumar Bose Memorial Lecture, Sasanka Sekhar Sarkar Memorial Lecture, and Dharani Sen Memorial Lecture. The seminar aims at providing a comprehensive overview of contemporary issues and concerns on tribes and their development.-Window To News
