A Wife Alleges, Her Husband Stole Her Kidney to Coverup Dowry!

In a shocking incident a wife's claim that her husband and her brother in law had stolen her kidneys in lieu of a dowry. The police have arrested the man and his brother over the complaint.  

The case that surface from the West Bengal is a shocking and first of its kind. The Husband arranged for the appendicitis surgery while the wife was suffering from abdominal pain two years ago. 

Over the rough path, the husband used to quarrel and beat her in the demand of dowry. Rita Sarkar told that when she complained pain, her husband took her to a private medical nursing home in Kolkata where her husband and medical staff said that she needs to undergo an operation, after removing her inflamed appendix through surgery she will be fine," the Hindustan Times quoted her as saying. She further told, that her husband demanded her not to disclose anyone about the operation in Kolkata. 

Months Later when Ms Rita Sarkar was feeling unwell and went to the doctor with her family members, while scanning, the doctor disclosed that she is missing her one kidney. Ms Rita got it double diagnosed and was confirmed for her missing body part.

This sudden discloser led the wife to understand why her husband implored her to not to talk about the surgery reports the daily. 

Deman of Dowry is Illegal in India, under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 

"He sold my kidney because my family couldn't meet his demand for dowry," said Ms Rita. The Police inspector Udayshankar Ghosh, over the issue, said, "We suspect the involvement of a racket. A case is registered under provisions of the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act. We have also charged three persons with the attempt to murder and bride torture."- Window To News
