Mumbai Feb 12 (IANS) Filmmaker Karan Johar says that the film "My Name Is Khan" which released in 2010 will remain special to him as it was a movie relevant to the times.



"My Name Is Khan" starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan clocked eight years of its release on Monday.

Karan tweeted: "A film that will always remain hugely special to me! A relevant film with a beating heart... Thank you Shah Rukh Khan Kajol for making my experience so epic!"

The film revolves around an autistic individual named Rizvan Khan who embarks on a journey to meet the president of the US and attempts to change people s perception about his religion.

Rishi learnt punctuality from Pran

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor on Monday remembered the late Pran on his 98th birth anniversary saying he learnt the discipline of being punctual from him.

"Happy Birthday Pran Uncle. Thank you for being in my many films! Still remember you got angry with me on the sets of Zinda Dil . That day onwards I learnt the discipline of being punctual " he wrote alongside an image of Pran.

Rishi and Pran together worked in several films like "Amar Akbar Anthony" "Bobby" "Karz" and "Naseeb".

Shahenshah had little hope for release: Big B

Three decades after "Shahenshah" hit the big screens megastar Amitabh Bachchan says attacks on his credibility had impeded its release back then.

"30 years of Shahenshah . Amazing times. Came at the time when there was little hope of its release because of attacks on my credibility but the people of the nation knew better had a bumper opening and success! Thank you " Amitabh tweeted on Sunday night.

Directed by Tinnu Anand "Shahenshah" tells the story about a man named Vijay who leads a dual life of a corrupt cop by day and crime buster by night. He makes life miserable for the evil forces who he wishes to seek revenge for his father s death.

The story for the film which also stars Meenakshi Seshadri and Amrish Puri is written by Amitabh s wife Jaya Bachchan.

Currently Amitabh is busy with three films -- "Thugs Of Hindostan" "102 Not Out" and "Brahmastra".
