CBSE Class 12 Economics Re-Test- An unnecessary burden for most students

Tuesday - April 3, 2018 12:01 pm , Category : WTN SPECIAL

March 3 (WTN): Class 12th students are on the threshold of their career. Days after exams become critical for all students to focus on various entrance tests that they would appear. These entrance exams are the stepping stones for the students.

Re-test would unnecessarily traumatize the students and would create an environment of uncertainty and loose their focus from entrance exams that they would be appearing in days to come. Some students may have enrolled for preparatory for theentrance exams which has a diffrent curriculum from the CBSE examinations. Taking a CBSE exam in the midst, would disturb the student’s entire study schedule.

A larger number of students are being penalized for no mistake of theirs. CBSE should have considered not making re-test compulsory for all the students. Like class 10th maths paper which shall be held only in Delhi and Haryana, the retest of class 12th should be held only in areas where the paper had been leaked. There are more than 5 lac students in Class 12 which have to appear in economics paper scheduled on April 25.
