Incentive to be given to farmers

Bhopal: State government has taken the decision to implement the Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana to promote production of wheat, gram, masoor and mustard in Madhya Pradesh. With the implementation of this scheme, the crop productivity will increase and in five years a solid step will be taken to double the income of farmers.

Various programmes are being implemented in the state under the National Food Protection Mission and Rashtriya Tilhan Mission to increase productivity of crops in the state. Besides this, new varieties of seeds are also being publicized among farmers. Through this scheme, farmers have to be encouraged for Fair Average Quality (FAQ) production. Keeping these facts in mind the state government has taken important decision in the interest of farmers.

Rs 265 per quintal will be deposited in the accounts of farmers who procured wheat on minimum support price (MSP) in Rabi 2017-18 under Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana. An incentive of Rs 265 per quintal will be given to farmers on selling wheat in the Krishi Upaj Mandi between March 15 and May 26. In both cases, the benefits of Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana will be given to registered farmers if wheat is sold below or above minimum support price in Krishi Upaj Mandi.

Rs 100 per quintal incentive will be deposited in the bank accounts of farmers who procure gram, masoor and mustard on Minimum Support Price in Rabi 2017-18 under the yojana. Incentive of Rs 100 per quintal will be given to registered farmers on the sale in krishi upaj mandi between April 10 and May 31 till the limit of eligibility of production on the basis of productivity and sowing. The registration of wheat has been done on “e-procurement” portal and registration of gram, masoor and mustard on Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana portal in the state.

A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Collector for the implementation of the scheme in the districts. Deputy Director Agriculture Development and Farmer Welfare, CEO District Panchayat, Additional Collector Revenue, Deputy Registrar Sahakari Sansth, District Food Officer, Chief Executive Officer Central Cooperative Bank, District Manager Civil Supplies Corporation, MARKFED and District Lead Bank officer have been included as members of the committee. This committee will conduct regular review of the implementation of the scheme and bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers. The Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department is giving regular instructions to the district collectors of the state in connection with the Mukhya Mantri Samriddhi Yojana. A district level Kisan Samelan will be held on April 16 at the district headquarters and a state-level Kisan Mahasammelan will be organized in Shajapur.
