Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights at People’s University
Bhopal (WTN); One day national seminar on “Fostering Intellectual Property Rights in the field of Pharmaceutical Research and Development” was held at School of Pharmacy & Research, People’s University
The objective of seminar was to understand Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and its benefit in academic research for ultimately contributing to the technological development of the nation.
The seminar was sponsored by M.P Council of Science and Technology Bhopal.
Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Vice Chancellor Durg University CG and Vice President, Pharmacy Council of India was the Chief Guest for the occasion who inaugurated the program. Prof. Saraf congratulated School of Pharmacy and Research (SOP&R) People’s University for the success of this event. Dr. C.S Verma, Regional Officer CRO AICTE Bhopal graced the event as invited guest. Dr. Neeraj Upmanyu Principal SOP&R and officiating Vice Chancellor extended his gratitude towards them.
Prof. Ghayur Alam NLIU Bhopal delivered lecture on basics of IPR. Dr. Nitin Kumar Jain, explained the role of IPR in the field of bio-pharmaceutical/pharmaceutical technology. Dr. Chandan Chandna , Scientist demonstrated how a student can file patent.
During the program scientific poster presentation was also organized. LNCP Bhopal secured first rank, SOP&R PU second rank and Truba Institute of Pharmacy Bhopal third rank. Valedictory session ended with vote of thanks delivered by Dr Rupal Dubey organizing secretary of the national seminar.
