Ek Parisar –Ek School” concept to be enforced for better quality of education

Surplus and subjectwise teachers and resources to utilized in a better way
CM Chouhan reviews School Education Department 

Bhopal: The concept of “Ek Parisar-Ek School” will be implemented with the prime objective of better utilization of surplus teachers, utility of subject wise teachers, better utilization of resources available in schools and for effective vigilance on teaching.

Review of work plan of School Education Department for the next year was given at the meeting. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed the School Education Department to pay special attention on the quality of education while he was reviewing the future work plan of the department.

As many as 45 thousand 384 schools and 20 thousand 656 premises have been marked for implementation of the concept of “Ek Parisar-Ek School”. Out of these primary schools with less than 40 nominations are 40 thousand 102 and middle schools are 6221. There will be 1941 Higher Secondary schools, 2972 High Schools 20 thousand 235 Middle Schools and 20 thousand 233 primary schools in “Ek Parisar-Ek School”.

It may be noted that the Government of India has made a new integrated education scheme under “Sabko Shiksha-Achhi Shiksha”. This will include Sarva-Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Shiksha Shiksha implemented from Nursery to 12th. Its objectives include improving quality of education, increasing capacity of students to acquire education, removing social discrimination in school education, fixing minimum standards in school education system and encouraging commercialisation testing also along with education.

It was told at the meeting that the biggest benefit of the “Ek Parisar-Ek School” concept will be that no school will be closed. All schools situated on one premises will be merged and run as “Ek Parisar-Ek School”. “Ek Parisar-Ek School” will be developed as fully equipped schools. There will be an integrated time table and managing committee to run the schools. The teachers posted before hand will not be tranferred. Post of School Principal and officers will be made stronger.

Government Agriculture Higher Secondary School Betul Market in Betul block in Betul district will established as a consolidated school in the form of pilot project. This school will include four Primary, 5 Middle and Higher Secondary Schools. The School Chale Abhiyan started from April 2nd will be implemented extensively.

Counselling sessions will be held for students of Class Xth in three phases in which aptitude test, interest test, language skills, numerical skills and logical reasoning will be assessed.

It was informed on the occasion that with the improvement in school infrastructure, children have more access to schools. The number of students in government and private and government-aided private schools in Class I to XII has risen to one lakh 59 thousand 434. New buildings for 582 Higher Secondary and 128 High Schools have been approved for Year 2018-19 for which financial provision of Rs 459 crore has been made. As many as 11 thousand 700 posts have been approved for High School and Higher Secondary Schools. Besides this, 629 High Schools and 329 Higher Secondary Schools are being upgraded. Provision of Rs 102 crores has been made to purchase furniture and laboratory material in 2,000 Middle Schools and 829 High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools. Proposal to provide Rs 50 thousand to each madrasa for infrastructure development is under consideration. To facilitate students, arrangement have been made to directly deposit 30 kinds of scholarships of 8 departments in just one click in their accounts.
