Chinese audience love 'Hindi Medium'

April 12 (WTN) ; After movies 'PK', 'Dangal', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Secret Superstar', the Chinese audience is loving movie ‘Hindi Medium', which was released in China on April 4. The film collected in a whopping Rs. 150 cr within a week.

'Hindi Medium' which is a story of parents who aspire to give their daughter the best education. Social themes including education, parenting and social mobility, which are common in India and China has struck a chord with audience also. In India, the film received six major nominations at the 63rd Filmfare Awards, including Best Director for Saket Choudhary, Best Actor (Critics) for Irrfan Khan, Best Actress for Saba Qamar and Best Supporting Actor for Deepak Dobriyal. It won two Filmfare Awards, including Best Film and Best Actor for Irrfan Khan.

Like in India, China also has demanding parents, who push their children to excel academically and simultaneously gain knowledge and other skills like dancing, music etc. India and China both face the same problems of insufficient quality educational resources and inequality of allocation of these resources.
