The Chief Minister said that the irrigation rakba in the state is being increased to enhance the income of farmers through cultivation. Water is being provided in the fields of farmers through Lift Irrigation Schemes where it is not possible to irrigate through canals. Chouhan said that this is the first chance in the state when the state government has decided to give Rs 200 per quintal to farmers for the wheat crop sold last year.
Rs 16 crore will be deposited in the accounts of 10 lakh farmers at the state-level ceremony in Shajapur on coming April 16. On the same day the work of depositing the incentive amount in the accounts of farmers will be undertaken at the district headquarters. He told that this year also the farmers will be given Rs 265 per quintal incentive amount for selling wheat in the mandis. Chouhan said that the farmers will be given an incentive of Rs 100 per quintal apart from the minimum support price on the purchase of gram, red lentils and mustard on MSP. He said that Bhavantar Yojana benefits will be given to farmers selling wheat and gram outside the mandi.  Chouhan informed that in the loan settlement scheme, the state government will pay interest and compound interest on the total loan of farmers.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that more than two crore workers have so far registered in the Mukhya Mantri Asangathit Shramik Kalyan Yojana. Beneficiaries of various government schemes, land lease and financial assistance for the registered workers will be provided to the registered workers and electricity will also be provided at the monthly flat rate of Rs 200.

Chippaner Micro Lift Irrigation Scheme

Irrigation facility will be available in 35 thousand 62 hectare agricultural land in Nasrullaganj of Sehore district and Khategaon tehsil of Dewas district. Administrative approval of Rs 516 crore 11 lakh has been issued for the construction of the scheme. Total 12.64 cubic water will be lifted at 5 different places on the banks of Narmada river under the scheme. Pumping stations will be set up near Chichli, Karondmafi, Pipalneriya, Chhinpaner and Chourasakhedi village. Narmada water will be supplied to the fields through 6 rising mains from the pumping station.

Special feature of the scheme: The water distribution system will be based on pipe. Water will be available to the farmer at 20 metre pressure up to 2.5 hectare. Farmers will be able to irrigate their land through drip and sprinklers with the pressurized water. Through this system, the farmer need not have to level his field. Less water will aid in more and useful benefits of irrigation. This scheme is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s use of ‘Per drop more crop’ which means every drop of water to be used and maximum irrigation to be done with minimum water.

Distribution system of the scheme being pipe based, the acquisition of land will not be permanent. For the pump house permanent acquisition of only about 6 hectare land will be needed.-Window To News
