Ambedkar Jayanti- an opportunity for all political to show solidarity to dalits

April 14 (WTN) - Dalits agitation recent was witnessed in many parts of the country. B R Ambedkar's 127th birth anniversary on today has given an opportunity to political parties to stake claim to their support for the next election. With the Lok Sabha polls less than a year away, the Ambedkar's birth anniversary celebrations will be of a scale rarely seen before.

President Ram Nath Kovind reaches Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, pays floral tributes to  B R Ambedkar along with CM Shivraj Chouhan . Governor of MP Anandiben Patel was also present.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has greeted people on Ambedkar Jayanti. “Greetings on Ambedkar Jayanti. PujyaBabasaheb gave hope to lakhs of people belonging to the poorest and marginalised sections of society. We remain indebted to him for his efforts towards the making of our Constitution. Modi is set to visit Bijapur in Chhatisgarh to open the first health centre under Ayushman Bharat scheme today.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani payed tribute to BR Ambedkar at Parliament House in Delhi.

I want to tell Modi Ji and his govt that commemorating places related to Baba Saheb's life and inaugurating schemes in his name, will in no way lead to development of Dalitsb - BSP's Mayawati comment on Ambedkar's 127th birth anniversary.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal paid tribute to B R Ambedkar at  Delhi Assembly.

​CPM leader Sitaram Yechury hit out at the NDA government on Twitter, alleging that there was a rise in atrocities against the Dalits in the past three years of its rule.
