PM Najib Razak lost election in Malaysia; will Modi government be effected by “GST”?
MAY 10(WTN) - It is said that in the world, most governments, which implements GST, had to lose the elections in respective countries. We are saying that because in Malaysia, Prime Minister Najib Razak's party has been defeated in election. In Malaysia, GST was implemented in the year 2015, after this, Prime Minister Najib Razak had to face defeat. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Najib Razak has been defeated by 92-year-old leader Mahathir Mohamad. Prime Minister Najib Razak had implemented GST in Malaysia from April 1, 2015. Early Najib Razak said in an interview that implementing of GST was a tough and big decision. Najib Razak said that he knew that after the GST would be implemented, the price of many goods and services would increase but it was necessary to introduce GST in the country.

In Malaysia, 92-year-old Mahathir Mohamad defeated Najib Razak's Barrison National (BN) alliance in the elections. Mahathir Mohamad had not only raised the issue of allegations of corruption against Najib Razak, but he also promised to remove GST after coming to the power. It is believed that due to the promise of removal of GST, the people of Malaysia have handed over the power to Mahathir Mohamad.

As you that GST is applicable in India from July 2017. It is said that Modi may have to face many problems in the Lok Sabha elections due to the implementation of GST. Before the implementation of the GST, the Modi government took decision of demonetization, which is also going to be key factor in the Lok Sabha elections. Here, according to the claim of Modi Government, through GST, one nation, one tax system has been implemented and there is easier to do business in India, tax evasion is stalled, tax procedure has been easy. According to the Modi government, there will be a significant increase in government revenue in future, which will increase the GDP faster.

Recently, in the IMF report, India has become the sixth largest economy in the world. In this report, the decisions taken by the Modi government in the economic sector have been appreciated. In such a scenario, BJP can use GST as a major weapon in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. But the Congress has been opposing the GST model of the Modi government from the very beginning. Rahul Gandhi has said many times that if the Congress would come to power in the year 2019 Loksabha election, then the current GST model will be changed.

Popularity of the Modi government as well as the decision of demonetization and implementation of GST will also be the key issues in the 2019, Lok Sabha elections. If Modi loses the election, once again, it will be proved that in those countries, where GST has been implemented, most of the government had to face defeat in election. But if Modi wins, once again it will be proved that there is no alternative of Modi in the country.
