Two-thirds work of Bahuti canal of Bansagar project complete

PR Minister Dr. Mishra reviews works of Water Resources Department in Rewa 

Bhopal: Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs and Rewa district in charge minister Dr. Narottam Mishra today reviewed the development works of Water Resources Department in Rewa. He said that according to the prescribed target complete the development works within the time limit. He directed to enhance various irrigation facilities for farmers.

Minister Dr. Mishra was apprised with the information on development works under Bansagar project that the construction of Bahuti canal under the project is 65 percent complete. This will benefit 65 thousand farmers of Rewa and Satna district. This canal is to be completed till December 2018.

Dr. Mishra said that the foundation laying and dedication of various development works of the Water Resources Department will be done this month itself. He will be visiting every Vidhan Sabha of the district this month. He issued instruction to the Water Resources Department officials also to start various development works. He said that next week Lift Irrigation Scheme will be dedicated in Gudh of Rewa district. Similarly, development works will also be started in Mangawan and Devtalab areas.
Minister Dr. Mishra met public and heard their problems before the meeting.

Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Goupalan and Pashudhan Samvardhan Board Swami Akhileshwaranand Ji, other public representatives and senior administrative officers were present.-Window To News
