Big decision by government on “AADHAR”.
MAY 17(WYN) - The Central Government has amended certain rules for those facing trouble because of the “AADHAR”. Now, due to physical problems, the people who are unable to make “AADHAR” can also give alternative identity proof for verification of bank account. Such people have been given an exemption from the mandatory of “AADHAR” in bank accounts by the Indian government.

Government of India by issuing gazette notifications has informed about the amendment in the rules to stop money laundering. Under this amendment, people who are having trouble in biometric identification can give other alternative identity proof for their identification. According to the information, due to not having of “AADHAR”, sick and injured people were facing problems, now they can take advantage of banking and other financial services without any problem. According to the new rules, banking services for the actual needy person will never discontinue.

Simultaneously, the Central Government made it clear that the “AADHAR” has not been compulsory for the employees to get the pension. The Central Government clears that the “AADHAR” is an additional facility which gives you benefit as life certificate in the banks. Due to not linking the “AADHAR” to the bank account recently, there have been reports that some retired employees faced difficulty in getting pension. In such a case, the government clarified that the ”AADHAR” is not necessary for pension.

The court has extended the time limit indefinitely for the inevitability of linking bank accounts and mobile numbers to the “AADHAR”. Earlier, the deadline March 31, 2018 was fixed by the central government. While hearing the petitions challenging the validity of the “AADHAR”, the Supreme Court reserved the verdict on May 10.
