Board on the line of APEDA to be constituted to export agriculture produce

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that board on the lines of APEDA (Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) will be formed to export agriculture produce of farmers. CM Chouhan, while addressing the farmers present in the state level Kisan Maha Sammelan organized under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samraddhi Yojana at Jabalpur said that urad of summer season will also be procured by the state government on support price. He urged the farmers for registration under the Krishak Samraddhi Yojana to avail benefit of the scheme.

Moreover, Chouhan mentioned that agriculture development and farmers’ welfare is the top most priority of the state government. Children of farmers must set up agriculture based industries. The state government will provide loan of Rs. 10 lakh to 2 crore in this connection and the guarantee against the loan will also be given by the state government. Chouhan further mentioned that logistic hub and food chain will be prepared in Madhya Pradesh. Arrangement for processing raw material will also be made. Informing about the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samraddhi Yojana besides other important schemes, Chouhan said that fee of educational institutions for children of the farmers will be paid by the state government. Moreover, as required arrangement for the members of the farmers’ families towards medical treatment in private hospital will be made. Camps will be organized in the month of July to give relief in the electricity bills to the farmers. He informed that the benefit of Lap Top scheme will also be given to the children of the farmers. Chouhan mentioned that the state government wishes that the children of the state must study, move forward and create a new Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minsiter Chouhan in a state level Kisan Maha Sammelan mentioned that there was a time when the farmers of the state were not able to undertake farming comfortably due to lack of electricity, irrigation facility and bad road condition.

Situation has changed today, the electricity production has reached 18 thousand 354 m.w. in the state. Sufficient electricity is being supplied to the farmers. The irrigation area has become 40 thousand hectare, water is being supplied to the farmers through pipeline as per their requirement. Farmers need not to pay heavy interest on loans now. Farmers are undertaking agriculture by obtaining loan at zero percent interest. Rural areas have been connected with urban areas under the Pradhanmantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. Framers have started to make agriculture a profitable occupation by getting relief from the Crop Insurance scheme and drought relief.

Performs bhoomi poojan of construction works costing Rs. 394 crore

CM Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of construction works costing Rs. 394 crore during the state level Kisan Maha Sammelan including Narmada payjal yojana costing Rs. 257 crore, Belkheda electricity sub centre costing Rs. 51 crore, Goura Bazaar electricity sub center costing Rs. 34 crore 8 lakh, administrative building of Medical University costing Rs. 20 crore 38 lakh and Mukhyamantri Payjal Yojana costing Rs. 21 crore 71 lakh.

Chouhan transferred online a total of Rs. 2 thousand 245 crore towards the protsahan rashi at the rate of Rs. 265 per quintal for wheat procured in the Rabi Year 2018-19 in the bank accounts of 10 lakh 80 thousand 228 registered farmers of the state. CM Chouhan stated that the farmers of the state will become economically strong by this initiative of the state government. They will create a new history in the field of agriculture. He further mentioned that we are making efforts that income generated from the agriculture in the state becomes a strong medium for prosperity of the farmers.

Moreover, Chouhan distributed benefits to the farmers registered under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samraddhi Yojana. Along with this, he also honoured daughters of the farmers, who have performed with excellence in higher secondary examination. On this occasion, Chouhan administered pledge to the farmers to build a new Madhya Pradesh together with the government, to make village clean and to give equal education to their sons and daughters.
