Purchase of Summer Urad on MSP from June 21

Bhopal: With the Mandi selling price of summer Urad being below Minimum Support Price of Rs 5400 per quintal, the government has decided to purchase it from June 21 in the state. For this, the registration process for farmers has started in the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies from June 6. The registration will continue till June 20.
Procurement of summer urad will be done in the same districts, where the rakba of the first sale of the day of urad is 1000 hectare or more. In this connection, Principal Secretary Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Department Dr. Rajesh Rajoura has issued directives to the collectors of Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Katni, Balaghat, Dindori, Seoni, Damoh and Harda. The rakba of summer urad of the registered farmers will be verified on the portal. The purchase of summer urad will be made from June 21 to July 20.
For the registration of summer urad the concerned farmer will have to provide land-records of the farmer’s rakba, copies of aadhar card, mobile phone number, information of bank account and Bank IFSC code. The average productivity for summer urad has been fixed at a minimum support price of 14 quintals per hectare in Price Support Scheme.-Window To News
