Students should be firm while choosing a path and move ahead: CM Chouhan

47 times rise in number of talented students in 8 years in state 
Felicitation ceremony of outstanding students concludes 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called upon the outstanding students to be firm in choosing their path and move ahead. There will be no dearth of funds for their education. He said that insipration, hard work and money is needed to move ahead in life. Let students do the hard work, money will be arranged by the state government.

Chouhan was addressing the gathering at the Outstanding Students Felicitation Ceremony at the Lal Parade ground here today. Students who obtained more than 75 percent marks in board exams took part in the ceremony. The Chief Minister got an amount of Rs 25 thousand each deposited in their accounts online for purchasing laptops. Chouhan congratulated the students for a bright future, and congratulated the teachers for giving them skillful guidance.

Online funds were provided to about 22 thousand 35 outstanding students for purchase of laptops at the ceremony. The amounts of the remaining 66 thousand students will also reach in their accounts soon. It may be noted that on the initiative of CM Chouhan a scheme was started to promote students who have been scoring good marks since year 2009.The number of outstanding students in session 2009-10 was 473. Now in 8 years, this number has increased 47 times to 22.035 in 2017-18. This year total 5,95,505 students took in the Higher Secondary School examination out of which 22035 students were provided online funds for laptop as incentive in today’s ceremony.

Chouhan told the students that they should buy a laptop of their choice with the incentive amount of Rs 25 thousand and create a new world of knowledge by using them in their study. He said that every child has the right to get good and quality education. There should be no shortcoming in the education of children for the future of the country and the state. Terming the students as an amalgam of extraordinary ability and talents, he said that if they are in the right direction, they will be capable of building a golden future for themselves and the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan resolved to set goals for the students. He said that to achieve the goal, make a roadmap and follow it honestly. Success is determined by determination and will power. He said that the sky is the limit for those want to fly high. Create capabilities within yourself and then measure the entire sky. He told the students to always respect their parents and women. The Chief Minister said that the country is changing and that the students should be ever ready to make their contribution in the change. He told them to make creative use of new technology and always stay away from its misuse. Always be alert not to step on the wrong path. Do not let disappointment come near you. Stay away from all kinds of distraction. Focus only on your goal. He said that the state government is committed towards the education of girls. Posts have been reserved for them in government jobs. The Chief Minister said that those who set an evil eye on girls or disrespect women will get death by hanging.

Commissioner Public Instructions Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat told that this time 902 children have been selected from government schools in JEE Mains. Among those present at the felicitation ceremony were Panchayat and Rural Development Minister and Bhopal in charge Gopal Bhargav, School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi, MP Alok Sanjar, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, Vishnu Khatri, Surendra Nath Singh, Chairman of State Child Mission Raghavgarh Sharma, Vice-Chairman of Board of Secondary Education Bhagirath Kumrawat, Disrict Panchayat President Manmohan Nagar, Chairman of Board of Secondary Education S..R.
