‘Absent’ of many leaders in Rahul Gandhi’s Iftar party is a matter of discussion!

JUNE 14 (WTN) - It seems that Congress president Rahul Gandhi's Iftar Party could not be as successful as it was expected. We are saying that because in the Iftar party, many opposition leaders appeared absent. After assuming the command of the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi gave Iftar party first time. The leaders of many opposition parties were invited in this Iftar party.

It was believed that in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections next year, the leaders of opposition parties will take place in the Iftar party, but many veterans did not attend Iftar party. As well as many leaders leading to the third front did not arrive at the Iftar party of Rahul Gandhi. Interestingly, there were not many leaders in this Iftar party, who joined Sonia Gandhi's Iftar party in 2015.

Among those who did not attend Rahul Gandhi's Iftar party, the National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah and NCP chief Sharad Pawar are among the most notable ones. Apart from this, leaders who did not participate in Rahul Gandhi's Iftar party included Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav, RLD's Ajit Singh, former deputy chief minister of Bihar, Tejaswi Yadav, Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and BSP supremo Mayawati.

RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav did not join Rahul Gandhi's Iftar party because in Patna he also organized Iftar party. At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Satish Mishra went in the party on behalf of Mayawati. In Rahul Gandhi’s Iftar party, CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, DMK MP Kanimozhi, Trinamool Congress's Dinesh Trivedi, Satish Chandra Mishra of BSP, D.P. Tripathi of NCP and former JDU leader Sharad Yadav were seen.

Apart from this, Pranab Mukherjee, who participated in the RSS program earlier this month, attended the Iftar party, apart from Pranab Mukherjee former President Pratibha Patil, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former Vice-President Hamid Ansari joined the Iftar party.

The big leaders of the opposition remained away from Rahul Gandhi's Iftar party. It was believed that all opposition parties could join together to keep Narendra Modi away from victory in the Lok Sabha election. But in Rahul Gandhi's Iftar party many opposition leaders did not come, and many send their representatives. But the absence of many opposition leaders in Rahul Gandhi's first Iftar party is a matter of discussion.
