Now free PAN card based of Aadhaar card!

New Initiatives of Income Tax Department, e-PAN

JULY 02 (WTN) - Have not you applied for PAN card yet? And you are getting worried about a PAN card? And it is taking enough time? So now you do not need to worry and wait for your PAN card .For your information, let you know that a ‘new service’ for PAN has been introduced, in this scheme you will immediately get a PAN number. According to the Income Tax Department, for those who want PAN number for the first time, it will be necessary for them to provide Aadhaar card number. Through this Aadhaar number, income tax department will immediately issue e-PAN. Regarding e-PAN, the Income Tax Department has issued circular too.

If you are going to apply for a PAN card through the Aadhaar, then the name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and address all will be mentioned same in PAN as written in Aadhaar. Therefore, we advise you that if there is any wrong information in your Aadhaar card, then get it done right and then apply for e-PAN. The facility for applying PAN card from the Aadhaar in e-PAN will be available free of cost. But, for your information, e-PAN will be released for a short time based on ‘first come and first served’ basis.

For the sake of your information that the facility of applying PAN card from Aadhaar card is for individuals only I.e. HUF, firm, trust and company will not be able to apply PAN cards through this process. To create e-PAN from Aadhaar card, you will have to sign on an A-4 size paper. According to the information, when the PAN card is to be issued, it will be sent to you through the post. The process for e-PAN can be completed on the Income Tax Department website.

When you apply e-PAN through Aadhaar card, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile linked with your Aadhaar card. Before applying for e-PAN, be sure that your mobile number should be linked to your Aadhaar. Once your Aadhaar is verified through e-KYC, then the process of e-PAN will start. The last date for linking PAN card to Aadhaar card has also been increased. Let you know that you do not need to send any documents for e-PAN.
