Controversy on NCERT book, BJP related with 'Hindutva agenda'

JULY 04 (WTN) - In the Madhya Pradesh, there is a controversy on NCERT’s 12th class political science book. For your information, let you know that the Madhya Pradesh government is going to write a letter to the central government to ban this book in Madhya Pradesh. Actually, in the 12th class NCERT book, BJP is said to be a party with 'Hindutva agenda'. According to the information, this book is currently being taught in CBSE affiliated private schools of Madhya Pradesh. This book will be taught in the government schools from next year.

In fact, in the political science book of NCERT of class 12th, a chapter 'Politics in Independent India' has been written about the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress. According to information from the media, this book says that BJP is a party with 'Hindutva agenda'.

It has also been written in the book that in Godhra, there was violence against Muslims, which continued for about a month and that 1100 people were killed in this violence, mostly were Muslims. Not only this, it has also been written in the book that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister during the Godhra violence and he taught the Gujarat government to obey the 'Raj Dharam'.

Along with the BJP, the book has also mentioned the Congress. It has been written in the book that there was a period of 'Congress domination' for a long time in the country, but 'factionalism' did not weaken the Congress. It has also been written in the book that Congress is ahead in every election after Independence.

After such things have been reported in the book, then the BJP has targeted the Congress. The BJP has alleged that it is a ‘conspiracy’ to 'defame' the BJP, and this book had been written during the time of immediate Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and human resource development minister Kapil Sibal.

For your information, let you know that the NCERT course is not being taught in government schools in the 12th standard in Madhya Pradesh. While this course books are being taught in the private schools of the state. According to Madhya Pradesh school education minister Deepak Joshi, “he is writing the letter to the union human resource development ministry to curb this book.” According to Deepak Joshi, “these things should not be either studied or based on the right facts.”
