Take special care of children in monsoon

July 04 (WTN) - As we all know that, the childhood friendship and monsoon have a beautiful connection. Changes in weather after the hot summer bring relief for all. Who does not wants to enjoy the rain along with the high winds in such a beautiful weather. The children have something more to enjoy this season.

The monsoon is more special for children. They often wet their clothes while playing the game itself. But on the one hand where it brings coolness and enjoyment, it also brings a lot of diseases with it. In such a situation, children can also enjoy this season openly, if parents take little precautions.

Common diseases occurring in children during monsoon-
 
The children's immune system is weaker as compared to the elders, in such cases they are more prone to infections. Diarrhea, loose motions, jaundice, viral fever, typhoid, cold-cough are common diseases occurs in monsoon. Children are especially affected by jaundice and typhoid. So keep few things in your mind in the rainy season.

Take special care of children-
  • Do not let the kids get too wet in the rain.
  • Do not allow children to wear wet clothes for long time.
  • If children get wet in the rain, keep their head and body well wiped.
  • Do not let the children eat uncovered eatables available in the market. Apart from this, do not give uncooked and frigid food too.
  • Give them only filtered or boiled water. Send school going children by giving water bottles from home in this season. 
  • Pay special attention to the cleaning of children's hands and nails.
  • Improve habit of washing hands with soap every time before and after eating food in children.
  • Must use mosquito nets.
  • Do not forget vaccination to young children to save them from jaundice.
  • At the interval of three years, young children should be given vaccination of typhoid.
  • In this season cotton cloth will be better for children.
  • Skin of small children is very sensitive, so do not put any lotion without physician advice after giving them bath. It can cause skin rashes.
  • This season is full of mosquitoes, so children should wear full pants or full-sleeve dresses.
