Shall not take sigh of relief till farmers’ income doubles: CM Chouhan

Udaipura Samooh Pey-Jal Yojana costing Rs. 156 crore dedicated 
One lakh 50 thousand population of 107 villages to get pure potable water 

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has dedicated group potable water scheme costing Rs. 156 crore at Udaipura. This scheme will facilitate pure potable water to one lakh 50 thousand population of 107 villages. Apart from this, Chouhan also dedicated 7 works costing over Rs. 88 crore and laid foundation of 20 works worth Rs. 83 crore 61 lakh on the occasion.

Especially in the programme, Chouhan has laid e-foundation of potable water schemes costing Rs. 944 crore for 39 cities situated on the banks of Narmada river. Moreover, benefits of over 108.98 crore were distributed to One lakh 45 thousand 972 beneficiaries of the district under the various beneficiary oriented schemes in the programme. CM Chouhan has said that he will not take a sigh of relief till farmers’ income becomes double.

Chouhan who reached Udaipura amidst the most adverse climate and heavy rains, has said that the government is taking every step for the welfare of farmers. Special attention has been paid on basic facilities like water, electricity and roads.

Previously there was irrigation facility on just 7 lakh 50 thousand hectare area, which has been increased to 40 lakh hectare area. Target has been set to increase it further to 80 lakh hectare area in the coming years. An amount of Rs. One lakh 80 thousand crore will be spent on this work.

Amount of Rs. 30 thousand 362 crore deposited in Farmers’ bank accounts
Chouhan further mentioned that a sum of Rs. 30 thousand 362 crore has been deposited in bank accounts of the farmers during the last one year under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, Krishak Samriddhi Yajana besides other farmers’ welfare schemes. Welcoming the decision of the Union Government to increase the support price for various agriculture produce, he stated that the support price has never been increased in such a big amount in one shot.

CM Chouhan stated that land pattas will be given to those unorganized labourers, who are registered under the Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana. Houses will be constructed and provided to them under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Awas Mission. Free education from primary level to the highest level will be provided to the children of labourers. He informed that activity to provide benefit under the Sambal Yojana will be started in the entire state simultaneously from August 4.

Labourers registered under Sambal are entitle for Saral Bijlee Yojana

Chief Minister Chouhan mentioned that labourers registered under the Sambal Yojana will be entitle for Saral Bijlee Yojana being implemented for poor. They do not need to pay any extra amount for new connections. Eligible beneficiaries have to pay just Rs. 200 per month electricity bill to facilitate them to light 4 bulbs, use 2 fans and one T.V. Camps will be organized in the month of July and August to waive off old electricity bills. Beneficiaries will start getting benefit of the scheme in July bill from the month of August.

Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal, while congratulating the CM Chouhan to provide pure potable water to village through Tap-Water scheme has said that a new history of development is being scripted in the leadership of Chouhan. Steps taken by the Chief Minister Chouhan to ensure benefits to the needy under the schemes prepared by the government are praiseworthy. Goyal further mentioned that the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana have contributed significantly to improve the economic condition of the farmers.

Minister for Public Health Engineering Smt. Kusum Mehdele, Minister for Public Works Rampal Singh and member of Parliament Uday Pratap Singh mentioned about various schemes of the government, being implemented for development of state and common man’s welfare.
