Notification for election in 10 urban bodies released

General election to be held in urban bodies Sanchi, Narwar, Churhat, Bhainsdehi and Anuppur 

Bhopal: The State Election Commission has declared the programme of election in 10 urban bodies. General elections will be held in Nagar Palika Parishad Anuppur and Municipal Council Narwar- Shivpuri district, Churhat-Sidhi district, Bhainsadehi- Betul district and in Sanchi - Raisen district. By-election will be held in Municipal Council Karnawad, Dewas district and Khilchipur in Rajgarh district. Election for recall of the post of president will be held in Karhi Pandalyakhurd, Khargone district, Sirmore, Rewa district and Lanji of Balaghat district. By-election will be held for one corporator each in 19 urban bpdies including Nagar Palik Nigam Bhopal.
Voting on August 3

Commissioner of State Election Commission R. Parashuram has informed that the publication of the election information and the receipt of nomination papers will start on July 11. The last date for obtaining the nomination is July 18, 2018. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on July 19. The last date for withdrawal of candidacy is July 21. Electoral symbols will be allotted on July 21. Polling will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 3. Counting will take place from 9 a.m. on August 7.

The announcement of the information of election and the allocation of symbols will be on July 11 for recalling from the president’s post. Polling will take place on August 3 and counting on August 7. Model Code of Conduct has become effective from today in concerned areas.

Announcement of general election of 9 gram panchayat of Singrauli district and one gram panchayat of Betul district and by-election for the post of one district panchayat member, 13 Janpad members, 108 sarpanchs and 3889 panchs has been made.-Window To News
