(WTN) Mocktail commonly known as drink without alcohol and several synonyms are used to refer to a mixed drink. Originally term cocktail indicates drinks with no alcohol in certain terminology. Many use the term virgin cocktail rather than only cocktail. But so far term mixed drink without alcohol is prefect and widely spread. Apart from this it also seems that the term mocktail is copy of cocktail. But this is very limited concept and there are few mocktails that are just cocktails without alcohol.
Many of the mocktails can be cocktails if we added suitable alcoholic beverages in it according to recipe. But it should be match as per the ingredients used in it like alcohol like gin and vodka can be mixed with mocktail where soda, lemon, mint is used with ice to maintain its transparent colour.
Interestingly in US and some parts of Europe have a traditionally rich cocktail culture where sodas and fruit juices tend to be default options similar to mocktails. However some south asian and north American countries like India, Thailand and Brazil, traditionally amazing mocktails are popular from centuries. These mocktails having diverse array of ingredients and specially according to the climatic conditions.
Alcoholic beverages are very common in America and Europe from ancient times so that non alcoholic drinks have been rather ignored. But in current scenario west culture tends towards the mocktails and seasonal Indian drinks made from milk like Lassi and Butter milk.
