Eleven babies died - Study in the Netherlands was using Viagra turns fatal

Wednesday - July 25, 2018 6:03 pm , Category : VIRAL ON WEB

WTN- A research study in the Netherlands was using Viagra to encourage fetal growth in cases where the placenta was underperforming. After complications in the patients, including the death of 11 babies, doctors ended the trial.

“The pregnant women taking part in the trial all had unborn babies whose growth had been severely limited in the womb. The children’s prognosis, given a lack of available therapy, was regarded as being poor as a result. In total, 93 women were given the drug as part of the trial, led by Amsterdam University Medical Centre. Seventeen babies developed lung problems, and 11 have since died. A further eight babies died of unrelated conditions." According to The Guardian.
