Governor Smt. Patel interacts with Beneficiaries and Women of self-help group

Bhopal: The Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel held dialogues at Circuit House-Dewas with the beneficiaries of the Union Government’s schemes like Soubhagya, Ujjawala, Pradhan Mantri, Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan, Suraksha Bima, Jeevan Jyoti and other schemes besides with women of NRLM’s Self-Help groups, beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and representatives of Red Cross, Lions Club and Rotary Club. During her visit to the old age home, she interacted with elders and distributed fruits among them. The Governor also planted sapling in the old age home.

Appreciating schemes of the Union Government, the beneficiaries have informed her that they are availing benefits of these schemes. The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have informed that owing to this scheme, their dream of living in a pucca house has come true. Along with this, they have also been provided with facility of toilet.

Women of NRLM self-help groups have stated that NRLM has changed women’s condition substantially. Earlier women were not going out, on the contrary now women are not only going out but are also earning their livelihood through self help groups. The women apprised the Governor about their employment generated through production of sanitary napkins, macadam, broom and basket made from palm leaf, bangles, soaps, bags, decorative items and showed the items to her.
The beneficiaries of the Mudra Yojana informed the Governor about their jobs. The Governor urged the representatives to adopt children suffering from T.B. during the meeting with NGOs.

Minister of State for Technical Education (Independent Charge) and School Education Deepak Joshi, Member of Parliament Manohar Untwal, MLA Smt. Gayatriraje Pawar, Chairman of Text Book Corporation Raisingh Sedhav, Mayor Subhash Sharma and other Public Representatives were present on the occasion.-Window To News
