Government to pay children’s fees of registered unorganized labourers

Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojana implemented 

Bhopal: The Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojanahas been implemented from the session 2018-19 to make free higher education available to the children of registered unorganized karmkars/labourers. The parents of the students must be registered in the Labour Department. The students must get registered in the state government scholarship portal scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in. The application can be submitted on the portal through user id and password only. The printout of the completed application form has to be presented in the concerned educational institute along with the necessary documents.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Technical Education Shri Deepak Joshi gave the information that under the scheme, government will pay the entire fees of students with rank up to one lakh 50 thousand in JEE Mains who take admission in Government Engineering College and Rs one lakh 50 thousand or actual tuition fee whichever is less of students who take admission in grant-aided non-government engineering colleges.

For Medical Education, the candidates who take admission in MBBS course of private medical college in Madhya Pradesh or MBBS/BDS course of central or state government Medical/Dental College though NEET entrance examination and those who acquire admission in MBBS course on the basis of examinations conducted by the government of India institutions themselves are eligible.

Students pursuing law will get the benefits of the scheme for admission in National Law Universities and Delhi University through examinations conducted by CLAT or autonomously.

Students will get benefits on taking admission in Graduate and Integrated Post-graduation Programme and Dual Degree Course run in all universities/institutions of the state government and Central Government, all graduate courses run by government and grant-aided colleges and universities of the state government, all diploma courses in Polytechnic Colleges, ITIs run and on taking admission in diploma, degree and certificate courses of Paramedical Science run in medical college or under Government Medical Colleges.

• Registration number and Samagra I.D. of or parents registered under the Asangathit Karmkar Mandal.
• Marksheet of Class Xth.
• Marksheet of qualifying examination for course of study.
• Details of tuition fee and other fees (except mess charges and caution money)
• Aadhar number
• Aadhar linked bank account (on taking admission in private/grant aided institutions)

The fees payable to the students of government institutes availing the benefits of the scheme will be deposited in the account of the institution. The fees of students of private institutions will be deposited in their aadhar linked bank account. In the scheme, eligible students who are already studying will be eligible for reimbursement / rebate in the fee payable as per new entrance eligible students from the year 2018-19. Login facility is being given to log-in the technical education and medical education on the portal of this scheme, so as to facilitate payment of scholarship of the institutions concerned with the three departments respectively.-Window To News
