Alcohol based hand wash is becoming less effective against some strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria
Most people apply cleaning liquids and sanitisers after toilet or before having food. Some people are using sanitizer several times a day for cleaning hands. Because they think this is the best option to make their hands germ free. But it's not like that. A recent research has revealed that excessive use of alcohol based hand sanitiser and cleaning liquids is very harmful to our health.
According to the University of Melbourne research, alcohol-based sanitisers are turning simple bacteria into superbugs that have also become resistant to extremely powerful antibiotics. It is because of the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers more than necessary.
Harm of using alcohol based sanitisers
Not able to kill all germs
Most people think that all germs kill after washing 1 drop of sanitiser. But not 60 percent of sanitizers have alcohol, which can not completely eliminate the germs. Despite this soap is a better option for hand washing.
Cough and Cold
Alcohol based sanitisers have more of triclosan content. Triclosan is a powerful antibacterial agent. Antibiotics are neutralised by using it daily. Due to this, diseases like cough, cold and cold fall occur.
Applying sanitisers causes the skin rough. Not only that, there may be more problems related to skin later.
Reducing disease resistance
As we all know that not only bad bacteria but also good bacteria present in the body. Which keeps us healthy but sanitisers badly affected both good and bad bacteria. This reduces the immunity of the body's disease.
