Can Dogs See Colors

Sunday - September 9, 2018 3:08 pm , Category : Fun Facts

WTN- Unlike their humans, Dogs don’t see the rainbow and every shade of colours. A dog’s eyes can process only two colors: blue and yellow and varying shades of gray.

While we used to believe that dogs only saw in black and white, we now know that that’s not the case. This is a common myth, but dogs have way more color perception than just black and white. Dog eyesight captures blue, yellow, any combination of the two, and shades of gray. So yes, dogs have color vision, but no, they don’t see the same thing we see with our human eyes, or bird, who have color receptors into the ultraviolet spectrum.
