Revenue Minister Gupta performs bhoomi poojan of development works costing Rs. 89 lakh

Bhopal: The Minister for Revenue, Science and Technology Umashankar Gupta performed bhoomi poojan of various development works costing Rs. 89 lakh approximately in different wards on Friday. He performed bhoomi poojan of 7 works worth Rs. 56 lakh in Naya Basera of ward-7, 3 works costing about Rs. 10 lakh in Sonia Gandhi Premises of ward-28 and 3 development works worth Rs. 23 lakh in Shyam Nagar of ward-27. Gupta said that the construction of concrete cement road from the main road costing Rs. 32 lakh upto the Government School in Naya Basera, Community Bhavan in Shyam Nagar along with other works will be undertaken.

Gupta further mentioned that the state government is constantly preparing new schemes for the welfare of poor. Wheat, rice and salt at the rate of Re. One per k.g are being given to poor. Now housing arrangement is being made for all houseless people. Concentrated efforts are being made to give houses at all the eligible houseless persons by the year 2022.

Minister Gupta informed that amount of Rs. 2000, Rs. 4000 and Rs. 6000 is being given to girls on reaching class 6, 9 and 11 respectively under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Girls will get Rs. One lakh on attaining the age of 18 years under the scheme. He further stated that expense free marriages of girls are being solemnized in mass marriage functions under the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan/Nikah Yojana. Along with this, a sum of Rs. 25 thousand is also deposited in their bank accounts. Children’s fee of families included in the Sambal Yojana is borne by the government. An amount of Rs. 4 thousand to pregnant woman and Rs. 12 thousand after the delivery will be given. A financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh on accidental death, Rs. 2 lakh on natural death and Rs. One lakh is being given on disability. An amount of Rs. 5 thousand is being given to perform final rites. Gupta mentioned that the old electricity bills of the registered unorganized workers are being waived off constantly. Now electricity bill will be charged at the rate of Rs. 200 per month.
