Meeting with recognized political parties held
Bhopal: The Chief Electoral Officer V.L. Kanta Rao at a meeting held with the political parties said that according to the announcement made by the Election Commission of India, elections will be held on November 28 and counting will be held on December 11. Election notification will be issued on November 2 and nominations can be filed by November 9. Scrutiny of forms will be held on November 12 and list of candidates will be issued with the names taken back on November 14. The model code of conduct has come into force from the announcement of the election. All the political parties and candidates must follow the model code of conduct. Complete information in this connection has been made available to all the recognized parties. The Additional Chief Electoral Officers Sandeep Yadav and Lokesh Jatav, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Kaul besides representatives of the recognized political parties were present at the meeting.
Kanta Rao mentioned that according to the directives of the Election Commission of India all the political parties must contribute to save the environment and conduct eco-friendly publicity in the election.
A total of 5 crore 3 lakh 34 thousand 260 voters are registered in the voter list in the state. Photo epics have made available to all the voters. Hundred percent list with photos will be available. Voter slips will be distributed from house to house 5 days in advance from the election date by BLO. Voter slips in braille language will be distributed for disabled voters. Moreover, this time voter guide will be given at each house to inform voting process in the state. Votes will be casted at 65 thousand 341 polling booths this time in the state. Videography will be done at all the sensitive polling stations.
The paramilitary force will be deployed at all such polling stations. Candidates are required to submit affidavit with complete details of cases registered against them if any, along with the filing of nomination for Vidhan Sabha Election 2018. It is mandatory fill all the columns of the form. An expenditure limit of Rs. 28 lakh has been fixed for candidates of Vidhan Sabha election.
Moreover, Kanta Rao informed that this time only women officers and workers will hold election at about 500 pinks booths in the state. Only disabled employees will ensure election process at 20 to 25 polling stations of the state. Voting will be conducted by ballot paper with bar code in the electronic form for service voters. Action will be taken against serious complaints related to election within 24 hours. Action against other complaints will be ensured within 3 days. The flying squad and video surveillance team will do videography and photography by visiting constantly. Law and order will be reviewed on daily basis. The public relations team will monitor advertisements 24 hours to be published in news channels by M.C.M.C. at Nirvachan Sadan.-Window To News
