More than 63 thousand weapons deposited in police stations
Bhopal: The Chief Electoral Officer V.L. Kanta Rao has informed that in order to maintain law and order , 321 illegal weapons have been confiscated and 63 thousand 510 weapons have been deposited in the police stations from October 6 to 10, 2018 after the model code of conduct has come into effect. During this period 3 thousand 874 non-bailable warrants have been served and restrictive action has been taken against 8 thousand 715 people.
A total of 3 lakh 44 thousand 477 cases under the property defacement have been registered in the state. Action has been taken in the total 3 lakh 26 thousand 452 cases out of these cases. Moreover, action has been taken in 2 lakh 68 thousand 265 out of the total 2 lakh 75 thousand 940 registered cases of government property defacement and similarly action has been taken in 58 thousand 187 cases out of the total 68 thousand 537 registered cases of private property defacement. Furthermore, 874 cases of vehicles’ misuse have been registered.-Window To News
