Workshop on ‘Mulyankan evam Bhavi Qadmon ka Prakalpan’
Bhopal: Challenges of local election are not less than general election. The State Election Commissioner R. Parshuram said this while addressing a workshop organized on the subject ‘Mulyankan evam Bhavi Qadmon ka Prakalpan’ in connection to the 6th General Election (Nagarpalika and Panchayat) year 2019-20.
Parshuram said that there is a need for planning from now itself in connection to the preparations of general elections of local bodies to be held in the year 2019-20. He further stated that challenges of forthcoming election can be faced easily by proper planning. He mentioned that it is a matter of pride for the Commission that suggestions are being taken from the Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission regarding local elections being held in Jammu-Kashmir. Parshuram said that participants should give suggestions openly during the workshop.
The Secretary State Election Commission Sunita Tripathi said that the commission becomes active for other election after completing an election. She mentioned that this workshop is being organized to evaluate works done during the past general election and in connection to the preparations of other forthcoming elections.
The Deputy Secretary Deepak Saxena informed about the innovations and difficulties faced in its implementation during the general election of 2014-15 and discussed about the election calendar besides revised voters list. Moreover discussions on rationalisation of wards of jila panchayat in election rules and polling centres took place during the workshop.-Window To News
