Big question: Why Congress is behind in the declaration of candidates for Madhya Pradesh assembly elections?

OCT 13 (WTN) - The dates for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh has been announced and everyone's eyes are on the move of the political parties, when they finally release their list of candidates. The Congress had earlier said that it would announce its candidates soon enough to get sufficient time for campaigning for the candidates. But it seems that Congress has lagged behind in releasing list of candidates. What is the reason behind the fact that the Congress has not yet finalized the names of the candidates? Let's take a look at this.

For your information let you know that state Congress President Kamal Nath says that due to the Dussehra holidays, the list of candidates is delayed and now the first list of Congress will be released only after Dussehra. Kamal Nath says that names have been almost finalized in many seats, but after the consensus on some names the list of nominees will be finalized after Dussehra.

But the question is why the Congress seems to be taking time to declare the candidates? Kamal Nath, while talking to the media yesterday, said, “Many BJP leaders are in touch with the Congress and many BJP leaders can join the Congress soon.” It is being said that in those seats where the Congress is losing three or four consecutive times, can give tickets to those leaders who will get angry with the BJP and join the Congress. The probability is that the list of Congress is not finalized because Congress is waiting for some BJP leaders to join Congress. In the absence of ticket from the BJP, the current legislator and some hardliners can be a party to the Congress, in such case Congress may give such leaders opportunities to contest election in weak seats.

One of the reasons of the delay in the names of the candidates is that the Congress is in a mood to give ticket considering it quite a bit. For 15 consecutive years, the Congress is away from the power, instead of the recommendation of a leader; ticket would be given for those who has chance to win. It is being said that the Congress can distribute the ticket only after the end of all types of faction at the local level.

It is being said that after the statement of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, the Congress has become conscious, in which, he had said that the Congress leaders who would not get tickets in the assembly elections should come to the Samajwadi Party, we would give ticket. The Samajwadi party has a good hold in the districts near to UP border; Congress may be in the same strategy to distribute the ticket only after considering it, otherwise the angry leaders can leave the party because if it happens then sure there will be loss for Congress.

Faction among the big leaders is also a big reason for delays in delivery of ticket distribution. Faction in the Madhya Pradesh Congress is nothing new. At the state level, there are as many groups as leaders. All the big leaders such as Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ajay Singh, Arun Yadav and Kantilal Bhuria will do their best to get tickets for their supporters, in such a situation, it is very difficult to be reconciled among all the leaders and agree on one name.

Well, whatever the reason, for some reason the Congress has left behind in declaring its candidates. The biggest reason behind being late in declaration is not to be agreeing among leaders on one name on many seats. Now, to see how long the Congress releases its first list and how to calm angry leaders after the distribution of tickets.
