Shivraj Singh Chauhan on the 'target' of Congress contesting without leader in Madhya Pradesh assembly election

NOV 17 (WTN) – There is uniformity election fight between BJP and Congress in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Congress, which has been defeated by the BJP in three consecutive assembly elections in 2003, 2008 and 2013, has been engaged in campaigning with full force this time. For the BJP, which has been in the power since last 15 years, this election is point of prestige. Before the voting on 28th November, both the parties have been actively engaged in the campaign, but on the campaign itself, there has been a buzz between the BJP and the Congress, after all what is the whole controversy? Let’s known.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is on the target of Congress in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. The Congress is not leaving any chance that in which Shivraj Singh Chauhan could not be encircled. In the same episode, the Congress has now targeted Shivraj Singh Chauhan on the expenses incurred by the BJP. Now the Congress has lodged an objection against the BJP's "Maaf Karo Maharaj, Hamara Neta Shivraj" advertisement.

Away from the power in the Madhya Pradesh since last 15 years, Congress has complained to the election commission that if the campaign is going on with the name and photo of Shivraj Singh Chauhan, then why not its expenditure should be added in the Shivraj Singh's personal expenditure?

In fact, the Congress's has objection to BJP's advertisement,"Maaf Karo Maharaj, Hamara Neta Shivraj", according to the Congress, this advertisement is being published almost every day in many news papers in the state, and the name and photo of Shivraj Singh Chauhan being used in this advertisement while he is a candidate himself in the election, in addition to this, with this advertising there is campaigning or BJP along with Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

Congress alleged that if the expenditure of these advertisements being printed from November 11 is more than the fixed election expenditure of Rs 28 lakh, which is a maximum limit for spending during campaigning of a candidate. That is why Congress has complained to the Election Commission that this advertisement of Shivraj Singh Chauhan should be stopped.

According to information received from the media, Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer V.L.Kantarao says that according to a circular of the Election Commission, if the candidate is included in the party's star campaign list then the expenditure on election campaign will not be added in his personal expenditure. However, Kantarao says that the Congress complaint will be investigated.

It is true that almost every day the alleged advertisement is being printed in the newspapers. If “Maaf Karo Maharaj, Hamara Neta Shivraj" advertisement expenditure added to Shivraj Singh Chauhan's election expenditure, so this expenditure is more than a candidate expenditure limit of Rs 28 lakh. But the second argument is that Shivraj Singh Chauhan is the face the BJP's chief ministerial post in Madhya Pradesh, so it is natural to use his name and face in such a way. Now it is necessary to see what the EC decides on the Congress complaint.

But the big question is on the Congress that the BJP is contesting election with Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s name and face, but the Congress chief's claimant Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia are not contesting both. So, let's assume that the Congress is in the field of election without leader.
