5.5 lakh Temporary Pump Cconnections to be Permanent by June 2019 under Mukhyamantri Sthayi Krishi Pump Yojana

Around 5.5 lakh temporary pump connections will be converted in permanent connections by June 2019 under Mukhyamantri Sthayi Krishi Pump Connection Yojana. So far, 1.07 lakh temporary connections have been converted into permanent connections. Rs 4097 crore will be spent on the scheme. Rs 2773 crore will be spent on rural electrification under Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana. This information was given in review meeting of energy department, taken by Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Energy Minister  Paras Jain was present in the meeting.

Chief Minister  Chouhan instructed that special attention should be paid on infrastructure related works. Better system should be placed for electric bills. Take the help of consumers for reforms in electricity system. They should be made aware of. Continuous efforts should be made for reducing transmission loss. The Chief Minister appreciated efforts for improvement in the system.

Ten distribution transformer testing labs will be set up

It was informed that ten distribution transformer testing labs will be set up for quality improvement. New system will be made for meter reading and billing. Average 10 thousand 900 mw electricity was supplied during Rabi season. Material of same specification will be purchased for power distribution companies. Feeder separation work of 5886 electric feeders has been completed in the state. Work on remaining 820 feeder separation work would complete by June 2018. Rs 274 crore were recovered from big defaulters under the action. In the current financial year, 27 thousand 972 distribution transformers were set up, against the target of 21 thousand 292 distribution transformers. Rs 1492 crore were sanctioned for strengthening of power system in urban areas.

Rs 26 crore were earned as profit by reducing commercial loss to the tune of Rs 1000 crore in the financial year 2015-16 by MP Genco. It was Rs 69 crore reduced in operation and maintenance expenditure.  Power distribution capacity has been reached 15 thousand 100 MW from 4805 mw in last 13 years. Similarly, transmission loss has reduced from 7.9 percent to 2.8 percent. The state is at the third place in the Country after Delhi and West Bengal. Initiative has been taken to provide earmarked public service through mobile app by the department. Work plan will be made for installing smart meters. Monthly loss of 11 Kv feeders will be monitored through software. Average technical and commercial loss has reduced to 23.45 percent from 42.55 percent in last ten years.

Additional Chief Secretary Finance AP vastava, Additional Chief Secretary Energy  Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister  Ashok Varnwal, Principal Secretary Energy  Manu vastava and departmental officials were present in the meeting.
