Bhopal: Maximum number of people, exercising their right to vote is the foundation of the democracy. This foundation has been strengthened by Bhopal district collector and district returning officer Dr. Sudam Khade's innovation of queue-less polling booths.
The fact came to the notice of district returning officer that many buildings have more than one booth in many buildings and voters will have to stand long queues, many voters would avoid vote thinking so.

District returning officer worked on the concept of queue less polling booth to motivate voters and avoid inconveniency. Over 32 queue less polling booths were established in 7 legislative assembly constituencies. The arrangements like display board to show voter's turn, chairs in waiting place, drinking water, toilets and sports facility for children were made. The request to offer chairs to voters on the place of queue at polling booth number 218 of legislative assembly (centre) of Bhopal district, brought happiness with surprise. Voters waiting for voting at booth number 219 waiting room had said that the arrangement was good otherwise it was difficult to wait for the turn in the queue while standing in the sun.-Window To News
