Sultan casted vote first then solemnized marriage

Bhopal: The impact of voters’ awareness campaign of the Election Commission of India was seen in youngsters especially in Vidhan Sabha Election-2018. The desire for voting was so strong among the youth that they reached polling booths first then mandap to solemnize their marriage. They took pheras only after casting their votes.

Special facilities made at polling booths for handicapped and arrangement to cast vote without standing in queue also proved fruitful. It moved handicapped bridegroom Sultan so much that he reached Chhawni polling booth just before the departure of the marriage procession.

Dressed in the attire of the bridegroom when Sultan reached thepolling booth, he became a center of attraction and anxiety among the people. The people standing in the queue enquired regarding marriage and where the procession is heading. Sultan promptly casted his vote and proceeded towards Ujjain.

The handicapped Sultan said that he is very much pleased by exercising his right to vote. He further mentioned that he has a strong desire that he should vote first then marriage. While praising wheel chair facility and voting facility without standing in queue for the handicapped, Sultan said that this has increased inclination among the handicapped persons towards voting.
