Attractive and picturesque cultural presentation in People's University annual function Disha-2018

DEC 07 (WTN) – With the theme of nationalism and woman empowerment, the award ceremony of the People's University annual function Disha-2018 hold with the attractive and picturesque cultural presentation of students in the university auditorium. World number two snooker player and brand ambassador of People's University Kamal Chawla was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony, while Director of People's group Megha Vijaywargiya, VC of University Dr Rajesh Kapoor, academic director Dr. VK Pandya, Registrar of the University, Dr. Neerja Malik, and DSW of University Dr. Ajay Pillai and DAA of University Dr. Tukaram Prabhu were also present in the program.

Inspiring and motivating to the students in the program, world renowned snooker player Kamal Chawla said that sports have a lot of importance in life and disciplined can be learned only from sports. Along with this, Chawla said that physical development through the games itself can be improved in a much better way. During this, Kamal Chawla thanked People's University for helping him.



Addressing in the colorful award distribution program, Vice-Chancellor of University Dr Rajesh Kapoor said that sports are important for overall development and sports is as necessary as study, because the game improves the confidence and one can learn team work from sports. Further Kapoor said that sports should be a part of life, because apart of study, other activities also improve the personality. 

At the People's University prize distribution ceremony, the students pleased everyone by giving spectacular performances. The colorful program started with Ganesh Vandana, after which the rage of women power was presented by the ballet on the increasing rape cases against girl child. The dance drama of Draupadi Chirhanar was also presented in the program, in which the pain of the woman was best expressed. After this, the motherland was remembered with patriotism drama and songs. At the end of the program, Dr. Niraja Malik, Registrar of the University, expressed gratitude to the guests, students and all the affiliates of the university. 



The names of students who receive the prize in the award distribution ceremony are as follows. The first prize in the Flower Arrangement in PIHM was given to Baby Paul and second prize to Amit Prajapati. At the same time, the first prize in Salad Decoration was given to Amit Prajapati and the second prize was given to Purvi Magar. First Prize in Fireless Cooking was given to Radhika Soni and second prize to Bhavesh Goyal. 

The names of the winners of the competitions held in PDA are as follows. The first prize in the Solo Singing Competition was given to Srisha Shivangi and second prize to Jai Kishan. On the other hand, the first prize in the Duet Singing was given to Shoubik and Shivagni while the second prize was given to Srisha and Kritika.



In Solo Dancing, the first prize was given to Oshina and second prize was given to Radhya. First prize in the Duet Dancing was given to Mayuresha and Purvi, the second prize was given to Somya and Eshu. The first prize of Solo Skit was given to Pooja Agarwal and the second prize was given to Salman Khan. On the other side, the award for the Duet Skit was given to Deepak Vishwakarma and Mahima. 

The names of the winners computations held in PCPS are given ahead. In the Hindi Essay competition, Neha Trivedi got the first prize and Pragya Vairagi got the second prize. At the same time, the first prize in English Essay competition was given to Karishma and the second prize was given to Santosh Shah.



On the other hand, the award for science model making in SOP was received by Piyush Kumar. On the other hand, Anju Malviya received the first prize in Rangoli competition organized by PCNS, the second prize was given to Puneet Jain. While Punit Jain got the first prize in poster making competition and Hemlata got the second prize.

The winners of the competitions organized in SORT are like this. The first award of Best out of Waste was given to jointly Anushka Agarwal and Anuja Thakur, while the second prize was given to jointly Pushpanjali Verma and Nikki Kaurav. The first prize for the Robot Race competition was given to Abhineesh Singh, the second prize was given to Anurag Singh. 

The names of the winners of the competitions held in PIMR are as follows. The first prize in the Mahndi competition was given to Dr. Shreya Modi and the second prize was given to Nikhar Kirar. The first prize was given jointly to Apoorva Kamble and Nishta in the Face Painting competition, and the second prize of the competition given jointly to Dr. Shweta and Muskan.

10 NCC cadets were awarded for their national performance at the award ceremony. The names of these cadets are: Abhinav Yadav, Neha Varshney, Naveen Meshram, Anand Kumar, MD. Naimatuullah Khan, Pranjal Pratap Singh, Pankaj Sen, Anju Dangi, Savita Dhurve and Aparna Apurva.
