BJP ‘alerts’ in Madhya Pradesh after being defeated in assembly elections; preparing strategy for the Lok Sabha elections

JAN 04 (WTN) - For the Lok Sabha elections this year, the BJP has sharpened its preparations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah are engaged in making strategies for the Lok Sabha elections. After the defeat in the three state assembly elections including Madhya Pradesh, the BJP doesn’t want to make any mistake in the Lok Sabha elections, so considering the different electoral equations of each state; the BJP has to formulate a strategy according to the respective states.

The slogan of BJP for Madhya Pradesh assembly elections was 'Abki bar, 200 paar’, but forget 200 seats, the BJP got reduced to 109 seats in Madhya Pradesh. But it is being said that the BJP still has a lot of confidence in a stronghold like Madhya Pradesh and BJP can make the target of victory in 26 out of the 29 seats in the state.

There are 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won 27 of the 29 seats in the state. The BJP had to face defeat in only two seats, Chhindwara and Guna. For your information, let you know that Chhindwara seat is belonging to Congress leader and the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, and while from the Guna seat, Jyotiraditya Scindia has been winning from there.

After the Lok Sabha election 2014, in the by-election held in Ratlam-Jhabua seat, Kantilal Bhuria of Congress had won this seat, after which the BJP seats had dropped from 27 to 26. But even after this, the BJP has full faith that in spite of the defeat in the Assembly elections, the people will trust the Modi government in the Lok Sabha elections and they can win 26 out of 29 seats in the state.

The BJP is convinced that it is difficult to win Chhindwara and Guna seats, the stronghold of respectively Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Also, BJP may have trouble to win the tribal-dominated Ratlam-Jhabua seat. It is being said that the BJP has created a target of winning 26 of the remaining 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh. In these 26 seats where the BJP is dreaming of winning in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, the BJP would like to go to the polls with the full strategy.

The defeat of the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections has given the BJP a lesion. The BJP had targeted to win more than 200 seats but the BJP was not even around it. Now, before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will have to observe all those mistakes due to which the BJP has to face defeat. It is being said that in the state of Madhya Pradesh, to achieve mission-26 target, i.e. to win 26 seats out of 29, BJP can refuse tickets for some MPs.

In the last Lok Sabha election, the BJP had got full majority, which included significant contribution of 27 seats from Madhya Pradesh. If the BJP wants to win Lok Sabha election with a full majority on its own in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it will have to win at least 25 of the 29 seats of Madhya Pradesh. Let you know that Madhya Pradesh has been the BJP's stronghold since the beginning and this is why BJP has the confidence to win more seats here.

If the BJP decides to win 26 seats in the state for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, it will be interesting to see what plan BJP makes for that. It is being said that the anger of the people of the state against the Shivraj government and the Modi government has been terminated in the assembly elections. Now after this, the people of Madhya Pradesh will vote in the Lok Sabha election with a calm mind. In order to win 26 seats in the state, the BJP will have to work harder as well as focus on electoral strategy.
