Here, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has written in his blog "Ayushma Bharat ke 100 Din” that this scheme is a game-changer scheme in the field of health ervice facility. In a considerable number of weaker sections, people are unable to cure due to the burden of expenditure on treatment in hospitals. Today, 40 per cent of the poorest of the people of India have been ensured treatment at the hospital under the Ayushmann Bharat Yojana.

The finance minister said that this is happening at a time when the deficiencies in the Indian health service system have been mentioned. In spite of being many world-class competitive hospitals in India, large population of the country have been out of reach from those hospitals. 62% of the population in India has to pay the bill related to the health by themselves, and in a large number people find themselves unable to bear its burden. In such a situation, the government started Ayushmann Bharat / Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
