Decision on demands of outsource and contractual employees to be taken soon

Energy Minister Singh at State Seminar of M.P. Electricity Employees Federation (INTUC) 

Bhopal: A positive decision will be taken shortly on demands of outsource and contractual employees of the Energy Department. A new policy will be prepared to resolve the cases of appointment on compassionate ground. Difficulties of e-attendance will be removed. The Minister for Energy Priyavrat Singh made these announcements at the State Seminar of Madhya Pradesh Electricity Employees Federation (INTUC).

Singh said that action in connection to fill all the vacant posts including line men has already been initiated. Moreover, a committee comprising members of the cabinet has been constituted to rederss the problems of contractual employees. Along with this, a separate high level committee will also be formed. He further mentioned that if required, a separate policy will also be prepared.

Moreover, Singh stated that they action should be taken promptly to improve the employees’ management system. He said that employees should bring change in their mentality. Power should not be cut unnecessarily at any place. The State Government wishes to keep employees tension free, so that they could work with utmost dedication. Singh informed that action on various promises made in the manifesto is ongoing. An arrangement of economic assistance on death of cattle due to electricity, electricity at the rate of Re. One per unit, formation of committee regarding rederessal of electricity bills has been made and the electricity bill of farmers for upto 5 H.P. motors has reduced to Rs. 3500 from Rs. 7000.

Do not disconnect electricity connections without reason
Minister for Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, Religious Trusts and Endowments, Science and Technology and Aviation P.C. Sharma said that manifesto includes 68 employees’ welfare related points. Demands of Madhya Pradesh Electricity Employees Federation will be fulfilled soon. He further mentioned that there is a need to fulfill the demands of employees on priority who climb electricity poles to work. Sharma said that electricity connections without reason should not be disconnected. MLA Arif Masood also addressed the seminar. A memorandum was handed over to the Energy Minister by the Office Bearers of the Federation.-Window To News
