Honorarium for fisheries training to be doubled: Minister Yadav

Important decisions taken in Fisheries Federation Working Committee meeting 

Bhopal: A meeting of the Working Committee of Fisheries Federation was organized under the chairmanship of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries Welfare and Fisheries Development Minister Lakhan Singh Yadav today. Decision was taken at the meeting to increase the honorarium of fishermen working in the reservoirs of the Fish Federation from Rs 150 to Rs 300 per day during training. Similarly, it was also decided to increase the expenditure on food, accommodation and other arrangements from Rs 100 to Rs 200 per day per trainee during training. Minister Yadav said that the Fisheries Federation has performed better this year compared to last year in the field of fisheries development. He said that there is a scope for more improvement.

Minister Yadav directed to demarcate the reservoir and ensure how much area of the ​​reservoir is in the Forest Department and how much is in the Fisheries Department in connection with the complaints of illegal fishing in Tighra reservoir of Gwalior district. Detailed reports should be prepared in this regard. Yadav said that regular review of activities conducted by Fisheries Federation should be ensured.

Approval was given to raise the maximum limit of gratuity amount of the officials and employees of Fisheries Federation to Rs 20 lakhs as per government rules in Pay Revision Rule-2017. Discussion on other points related to functioning of the Fisheries Federation was also held in the meeting.

Members of the committee including the Principal Secretary Fisheries Development Ashwini Rai and MD Fisheries Federation Mahendra Singh Dhakad and concerned officers were present at the meeting.-Window To News
