Rs 200 maximum to be charged for consumption of over 100 units from Saral Upbhokta in electricity bill

Bhopal: Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh informed that the decision has been taken by the state government that 100 units electricity will be given in Rs 100 from next billing cycle to Saral Upbhokta in Indira Grih Jyoti Yojana and bill of maximum Rs 200 will be charged in case of consumption of over 100 units like Saral Bijli Bill Scheme. Earlier, provision was to charge as per the tariff on consumption of more than 100 units under Indira Grih Jyoti Yojana, is amended by the energy department.

 Officials have been instructed that consumers with more than 100 units consumption should be made aware for energy conservation. They should be motivated that they make efforts to limit electricity consumption within 100 units so that they can get electricity in only Rs 100 on the place of Rs 200.-Window To News
