Implementation on Crop Loan waiver scheme for 50 lakh farmers begins in state

Inaugurates Scheme by waiving loans of Rs. 134 crore of 40 thousand farmers in Ratlam 

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Kamal Nath while inaugurating the Jai Kisan Fasal Wrin Maafi Yojana in Namli of Ratlam district handed over documents of loan waiver worth Rs. 134 crore to over 40 thousand farmers. Kamal Nath said that the loan of 50 lakh farmers of the state will be waived off under the scheme. He further stated that we have set a target to make the farmers economically strong and the government will make every possible effort in this direction. Moreover, Nath mentioned that the new government is in favour of day to day and weekly development and will not leave it to years. We are moving ahead with the same policy, he added.

The Chief Minister said that we had promised that the loans of the farmers will be waived off and the promise has been fulfilled within the stipulated time. The new government has accomplished a unique task by waiving off the loans of the farmers in such a big number. Kamal Nath stated that how to develop the agriculture sector in a planned manner is a big challenge before us and the Government believes that the state cannot be developed till we make the farmers happy and prosperous.

The Chief Minister further mentioned that besides making the farmers economically strong, we also set a goal to give employment to unemployed youth in large number in the state. He said that we will eradicate the unemployment by fetching massive industrial investment in the state. Kamal Nath said that the new government does not believe in announcements, it believes in work. We have decided that we will not defer any work for years; we will lay a new foundation of daily and weekly development so that people should feel change and the state could be developed rapidly.

Babulal Bhairulal Rathore of Namli becomes first beneficiary
While inaugurating the Jai Kisan Fasal Wrin Maafi Yojana, Kamal Nath handed over a certificate of loan waiver worth Rs. One lakh 95 thousand 447 to Babulal Bhairulal Rathore of Namli village. Rathore became the first beneficiary of the scheme in the state. Loans worth over Rs. 134 crore of more than 40 thousand farmers were waived off in the programme. The Chief Minister distributed certificates of loan waiver as a token to few farmers during the programme.

Dedicates and lays foundation of construction works worth Rs. 197 crore
The Chief Minister Kamal Nath dedicated and laid foundation of 30 construction works worth Rs.197 crore of various departments during his Ratlam’s visit. He said that no compromise will be tolerated in development.

Chief Minister fulfilled his promise: Agriculture Minister Sachin Yadav
The Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Sachin Yadav said that today the Chief Minister is accomplishing his promise made to the farmers for waiving loan upto Rs. 2 lakh. He mentioned that a process of depositing amount in the bank accounts of the farmers has already begun. The farmers have been empowered with self-verification facility under the scheme. Yadav further informed that besides loan waiver, the new government has reduced the electricity bill to half, increased the amount to Rs. 51 thousand for girls’ marriage and has fulfilled its promise to provide 100 units of electricity in Rs. 100 in just 57 days.
