May 28 (WTN) - There was a time when in the election campaign, the pamphlets, the street conferences and the loud speakers were used, but now as the time has changed, so the means of the election campaign has also changed over time. Now the election campaign mode has been shifted on the social media instead of the pamphlet and the sound expansion devices. The world's largest democracy, India, is in full swing for campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, and campaigning through advertisements on the social media site like face book has captured rapidly.



For your information, let you know that for the Lok Sabha election campaign, the Bharatiya Janata Party and its supporters are fiercely advertising on the face book, and in this case, they are far ahead of the other parties and the others.In view of elections, advertising expenditure on the face book has risen to 8.38 crores, in which the BJP and its supporters have the highest stake.



According to the media reports, as per to the face book's AD Library report, the number of political ads on the face book is 34,048 from February to March 16, 2019. A total of 6.88 crores spent on these advertisements. That number has increased to 41,514 by March 23, while the total expenditure has reached Rs 8.38 crore. According to the report, in the week ending on March 23, 2019, the number of ads associated with politics and national importance issues on the face book increased more than 7,400 in India.



According to the information received from the face book, on the page "Bharat Ke Man Ki Baat", there has been the most expenditure for advertising. On this page, more than 3,700 advertisements were posted, and more than 2.23 crores were spent under two categories. During this time, the BJP has given around 600 advertisements and spent Rs 7 lakhs, while other pages like "My First Vote for Modi" and "Nation with Namo", there have also been huge spent on the advertisement for the BJP.



If we talk about the Congress other than the BJP, then there are 410 advertisements on the page of the Indian National Congress, and during this period from February to March, Rs 5.91 lakhs were spent on the advertisements. The face book had cleared it in February that it would give full details about the political advertisements given on its platform.



It is being said that social media has taken this step with the aim of bringing transparency in political advertisements. Social media companies believe that people need to know about the ads, which they see on their platform. People have right to know that who have given these ads and what their purpose behind these ads is.



Through social media, the BJP has always been ahead in the marketing. BJP's electoral strategists are well aware that nowadays every hand has mobile, and in every mobile there is face book. Nowadays people do not have enough time in the busy life style that they can spend too much time on TV. In such a way, the BJP has paid more attention to the campaigning through social media so that the party may be able to convey its point to every person who is active on the face book.
